Pendergrass Man Electrocuted In Walton County

Boom on his truck touched overhead live wire.

Walton County officials said a Pendergrass man was electrocuted in Walton County last week while delivering chicken feed to a local farm.

"It was on a farm off Clarence Odom Road at about 8 a.m., I think it was last Thursday," said Chief Deputy Bruce Wright of the Walton County Sheriff's Department. "He was a truck driver. After delivering chicken feed to the farm he was lowering the boom on his truck and it touched the live overhead wire."

Wright said the man died instantly.
