No Injuries in New Year's Eve Fire in Loganville

Detached garage and other buildings are a total loss in the early morning fire.

Early on New Year's Eve morning, we began getting notification from Loganville/Grayson Patch readers in Loganville with regards a large fire near Bay Creek Church Road and Highway 78. Reports of fire and rescue brought about concerns for residents at the home which fronts the garage and other out buildings at the address.

Craig League, Battalion Chief Walton County Fire Rescue says that the efforts to combat the fire on Still Road at Bay Creek Church Road (Near Hwy 78) were hindered due to the hydrant being 2000 feet from the large residential garage. The garage, along with several smaller attached buildings are a total loss.

No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
