Murdered Man was from Loganville

According to his obituary, Curtis Dwayne Barfield, 34, who was murdered in Monroe last week, was from Loganville.

Curtis Dwayne Barfield, 34, the man found murdered in Monroe last week, was originally from Loganville, according to his obituary on the Tim Stewart website.

Barfield died last week as a result of a fatal gunshot wound. According to Monroe Police Chief Keith Glass, Barfield's body was found found at 1120 South Broad Street in the early morning hours of Nov. 1. He died as a result of a fatal gunshot wound at it was determined by investigators to be a homicide.

James Middlebrooks, 25, of Monroe was arrested Friday morning and charged in connection with the murder. Barfield's funeral is scheduled for Monday night.
