, hitting a tree and critically injuring the young mother of two. She remains in a coma at an area hospital as her family keeps vigil at her side. Ford's husband, Darren, has kept the community updated on his wife's condition on his Facebook page as she struggles to deal with her injuries. All indications are that she has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

Both Jennifer (previously Phillips) and her husband grew up in Loganville and graduated from Loganville High School. Darren Ford said the two were high school sweethearts.

"Jennifer is an employee at Clearview Regional Medical Center (new hospital in Monroe). She has been an employee at the hospital for a little over 10 years," he said, adding although they are approaching the two week mark of her being in a coma, he has faith that his wife is strong enough to fight through her injuries for her family, including their two young children.

The medical bills, however, have been mounting and his sister has taken control of rallying support for the family in this time of need. Accounts have been set up at Essex Bank to help raise funds for the mounting medical bills. Essex has asked that donations be mailed or dropped off attention to, "Darren Ford, Medical Fund for Jennifer Account." Essex will be taking donations at all locations (Loganville, Grayson, Snellville, and Covington). For additional assistance, contributors may contact Essex Bank in Loganville at 770-466-4822.
