LPD Release Incident Report in School Beating

Warrants were issued for a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old Loganville High School students in connection with an alleged beating that took place at the school field house locker room on Wednesday. A juvenile also faces charges in the incident.

According to an incident report released by the 17-year-old Jerome J. Vicidomine and 18-year-old Patrick Hunter Mackendrick will both be charged with disorderly conduct and battery. A 16-year-old student faces the same charges but his name is protected as he is under the age of 17. These charges arise from an incident that is reported to have happened on Oct. 31 at Loganville High School.

LPD report that the victim in this incident was a 16-year-old 11th grade student from LHS. An assistant principal reported to the School Resource Officer, Sgt. Dustin Peterson, that one of the students had been beaten by three other students at the end of a physical education class.

According to the report, the victim reported that without provocation, another 16-year-old had placed him in a headlock, threw him to the ground and began beating him. Another senior from the school is reported to have joined in. In the end police concluded that the 16-year-old appeared to have been assaulted by three other students for no apparent reason.

Peterson went to the victim's house where the 16-year-old is reported to have told Peterson he wasn't thinking clearly following the incident because of the beating and he was scared to report it. His father took him to Clearview Regional Medical Center later that evening for evaluation and he was reportedly diagnosed with concussion and bruising to his ribs.

Loganville Police Chief Mike McHugh said this incident was not racially motivated since the victim and alleged assailants were of the same race. He said there also was no gang component suspected.

Jerome? They should expel the bullies indefinitely. They should not be allowed to attend school in Walton County in the future and their parents should each be fined $10,000.

They should also be charged with ASSULT - felony charges not simple battery. This was a planned attack. ALSO the student went through almost a full day of classes with a busted up face and NO teachers from LHS asked him what happen!!!! He does not just have a few cuts and scratches - his ribs are bruised - he suffered a concussion and is a lot of pain! I agree that EACH parent and child should be held accountable financially for what they did!

Fine the parents $10,000? That's just stupid! Newsflash, teenagers are IDIOTS! They're taught the right thing to do, but they go thru their teen years just ruining it. With that said, these kids need to be punished to the highest extent of the law. Unless you get paid like Mayweather, there is no justification for fighting.

@ Amy, I agree - teenagers are idiots! Do you at least believe that this student has the right to be compensated for the out of pocket medical expenses - the pain and suffering - and the humiliation that this caused him? And who should pay this?

My teen isn't an idiot. He doesn't get into trouble, he does his school work, he respects other people and he's concerned about the future of this nation. I'm more concerned about adult idiots than I am my teen. Why do people have children if they don't want to raise them or are flat out incapable? The parents of these thugs should be held legally responsible for the actions of their offspring. These boys should spend a couple of months in a cage where they apparently belong.

Amy, teenagers are immature in that they don't have the experiences of having lived through many mistakes. A nasty attitude is taught and not typical of teens. I have worked with them in every capacity available, and as a whole, they are delightful. But the ones with a nasty attitude, no one should tolerate. If they want to fill the judicial system, then get packin'.
