Loganville Police Offer Tips on How to Safely Drive Home in the Snow

Reduce your speed, turn your headlights on, and take extra time and distance to brake.

The Loganville Police Department shared some tips on safe driving in the snow during the winter storm. 

They posted the following message to their Facebook page Tuesday (Jan. 28) afternoon: 

"Currently, we are experiencing decreased visibility due to the falling snow. The road conditions are wet with patches of very light slush. As the temperatures drop and snow continues to fall, the road conditions may worsen, please make every effort to avoid travel. If you have to drive, Please be very cautious. As of this posting time. we are processing two accidents

"Fast tips for traveling on the roads today:
1. Drastically reduce your speed. 
2. Increase your following distance by three times the normal. 
3. Take extra time/distance to stop.
4. Turn your headlights and wipers on. 

"If you need us, dial 911 –We CARE about you! We are here to help!"
