Grayson Shooting Victim was from Loganville

A police report confirmed that the victim in Thursday's shooting was a 24-year-old Loganville Man.

The victim in was a 24-year-old Loganville man, according to a police report obtained from Gwinnett County Police Department.

The victim, Richard Gray, of Loganville, was allegedly shot sometime between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Thursday while driving through Grayson. The incident is reported to have taken place at the intersection of Grayson Parkway and Rosebud Road. Gray was in a black Nissan Altima that is reported to have sustained damage in the incident. The suspect is reported only as a black male driving an orange Dodge Challenger. Very little other information is contained in the report except that the investigation began after police were called to Eastside Medical Center in Snellville regarding a shooting.

Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Ed Ritter confirmed that the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

"The victim that was shot is going to be okay. It was a minor gunshot wound to the leg," Ritter said, adding that investigators are following up on leads at the moment. "I don’t have any other details that I can release at this point."

"The person shot drove himself to Eastside and they called the police," Hinkle wrote.

Ritter said he couldn't speculate on any details of the case except to say that investigators continue to follow up on leads.
