Loganville Man Faces Slew of Charges After Fleeing from Wreck

He was arrested No. 29, 2012 and now faces charges that originated from a motorcycle wreck he was involved in over the summer.

John Puckett, of 2592 Bermuda Drive, Loganville, was arrested on Nov. 29, 2012 and faces a slew of charges that stem from an incident on June 12, 2012 when he was involved in a motorcycle accident in Gwinnett County.

Officers responding to the scene reported that Puckett told police he didn’t want to report the accident. He seemed more concerned with trying to get his motorcycle to start and leave. According to the Gwinnett County Police report, when police asked why the VIN didn’t match and there appeared to be no insurance on record, Puckett managed to get the motor fired up and fled. He was last seen heading onto West Park Place Blvd during rush hour traffic at a high rate of speed. However, in his rush he omitted to retrieve his license that he had already turned over to police.

Puckett was picked up on Nov. 29 and charged with fleeing or eluding police officer, possession of controlled substance or marijuana, violation of probation, drugs not in original container, no drivers license, violation of controlled substance, expired tag, no proof of insurance, motorcycle passing in no passing zone and reckless driving.
