Loganville Man Charged with Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation

James Tilden, 45, of Cown Drive, Loganville, was arrested by the Loganville Police Department on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, following a long-term investigation by the GBI.

Loganville Assistant Chief Dick Lowry reported that the Loganville Police Department, in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at the home of James Tilden, 45, of Cown Drive, Loganville. As a result, Tilden was arrested and charged with two counts of Violation of the Georgia Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.

"Although it is disconcerting to have something like this occur in our community, we were certainly glad the GBI was able to detect this type of conduct and provide the technical support needed to charge this suspect," Lowry said in a press release. "Every officer that was on this raid has children of their own and when you see something like this, or anything involving kids, it's one of the toughest things we encounter as law enforcement officers.

"At this time, Tilden has been charged with two counts of child pornography, based on a preview of his computer. One the GBI has the opportunity to complete their forensic examination of the computer, and based on what I saw, I would anticipate multiple additional charges being filed at a later date.
