Gwinnett Police ID Suspect in Intown Suites Homicide

Police are on the lookout for Philip Pugh.

Gwinnett Police have identified a suspect in the Saturday shooting fatality at Intown Suites near Snellville.

According to a Sunday evening press release, police are on the lookout for Philip Pugh, who is suspected in the death of Vincent Newsome, who was shot multiple times at the extended-stay hotel located at 4142 Highway 78. Newsome was found in a second-floor breezeway and later died at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Police say Pugh may be driving a tan 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser with the Georgia tag number PHQ2960.

Pugh is described as a black male, 40 years old who is 5-foot-9 and 183 pounds.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Pugh.
