Gwinnett Firefighters Battle a Fire at Taco Bell in Grayson

Extensive damage to the inside of the building but authorities report no injuries.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report by a passing motorist at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday of a fire at the .
 
According to a press release from Lt. Eric Eberly, public information officer for GCFES, crews arrived to find heavy smoke showing from the roof and sides of the one-story building. 

"Crews made immediate entry and encountered dense smoke conditions on the interior," Eberly said in the release. "Firefighters began a quick search for potential victims and deployed attack lines to combat the blaze. Crews quickly controlled a large fire in the ceiling of the business."
 
Eberly said the business was not open and nobody was at the business when emergency services arrived and no injuries were reported. At 8:30 a.m. crews were still on the scene performing overhaul operations. Eberly said although little damage is evident from the outside, the fire caused extensive damage to the inside of the business. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and under investigation.
