Drunken Man's Ear Nearly Detached in Brawl; Gun Owner Shoots Hand off

The Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls from Oct. 24-28 in Zones 2, 3 and 4.

Zone 2

Abandoned Vehicle – A burgundy Dodge Dakota was found abandoned on the side of Jersey Social Circle Rd. /HD Atha Rd. The vehicle was towed from the location.
 
Domestic Violence – A subject was arrested on Monroe Jersey Rd. in reference to a physical altercation with another subject.
 
Zone 3
Animal Complaint – A pit bull attacked another canine on Brook Lane in Crystal Brook subdivision. The owner of the attacked canine shot the pit bull. Walton County deputies attempted to locate the injured pit bull, but were unable to.
 
Zone 4
Assault – A fight occurred in the Gratis area. An intoxicated subject met with Walton County deputies; his right ear was nearly detached from his head. He did not want to pursue charges.
 
Theft – A pressure washer and weed eater were taken off a carport at a residence on Walton Rd.
 
Gun Shot Wound – A subject on Hearn Rd. accidently shot most of his hand off while attempting to enter his deer stand.
 
Theft – A theft was reported on Phillips Court in Parker Estates.
