UPDATE: Rollover and Entrapment in Walton County

Single vehicle accident involving a 25-year-old Monroe woman shut down Pannell Road in Walton County just after 8 p.m. Monday night.

UPDATE: Gordy Wright, public information officer with the Georgia State Patrol, confirmed that a 25-year-old Monroe woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident in Walton County Monday night.

"The crash is still under investigation, but what I see right now is a 1999 Ford Taurus being driven by Whitney Annalissa Douglas, age 25, from Monroe, left the roadway and overturned," Wright said.  

The accident shut down Pannell Road just after 8 p.m. March 19. Members of worked to extricate the victim, who was trapped in the vehicle. Pannell Road was shut down and a lifeflight helicopter was called in. Wright said the victim was transported to Atlanta Medical Center with serious injuries.
