Former Assistant Manager at Loganville IHOP Charged with Sexual Battery

A former assistant manager was fired from Loganville IHOP after being charged with sexual battery and held for immigration.

An assistant manager at the in Loganville was fired after he was arrested and charged with sexual battery.

According to Detective David Hunt with the , Manuel DeJesus Guevara, of 4035 Hollow Spring Trail, Loganville, was booked into Gwinnett County Detention Center on July 17, 2012. Jail records indicate that he was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and held for immigration. However, he was released on $5,700 bail on July 19. Patch is awaiting confirmation that the immigration hold has been dropped.

Hunt said an employee from IHOP had left work when she realized she had forgotten her purse. She contacted Guevara and asked if she could return and pick it up.

“She gets there and they lock the front door and as they were walking back to the car, he follows her and touches her inappropriately,” Hunt said. “After he corporate office found out, they confronted him. When he admitted it, they fired him.”

Hunt said the charge is a misdemeanor and would likely carry probation.

In addition, the following Loganville or Grayson residents were booked into the Gwinnett Detention Center during the period July 2 - 16, 2012. The information comes from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department Docket Book. All these individuals have been charged with, but not convicted of, the crimes listed.

  • Ryan Daniel Dixon, of 4495 Hidden Stream Drive, Loganville, was charged with a violation of probation.

July 4

  • Lance Eugene Pottenger, of 2120 Hutton Drive, Grayson, was charged with disorderly conduct and loitering and prowling.
  • Troy Allen Billman, of 2135 Chandler Road, Grayson, was charged with driving while license withdrawn.

July 5

  • Andres Fernandez, of 3570 Weeping Willow Lane, Loganville, was charged with possession/purchase of alcohol under 21.
  • Roderick Alwin Thorne, of 1197 Preserve Park Drive, Loganville, was charged with theft by taking.
  • Wade Wilson Parkhurst, of 1670 Wheat Brass Way, Grayson, was charged with violation of probation.
  • Baron Edward Hyatt, of 1705 Round Road, Grayson, was charged with a violation of probation.

July 6

  • Robert David Bryant, of 4000 Morning Dove Court, Loganville, was charged with driving while license withdrawn, DUI (alcohol), speeding and improper lane change.
  • Marcelleno D. Scott, of 2935 Rosebud Road, Loganville, was charged with failure to pay child support.
  • Marvin Cleveland Brandon, of 101 Winston Byrd Lane, Loganville, was charged with simply battery.

July 7

  • Taylor Andrew Campbell, of 1050 Windsor Creek, Grayson, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, class D. license provision violation, and tag light visible 50 foot.
  • Trentt Asheton Linsey, of 136 Little Barley Lane, Grayson, was held for court.

July 8

  • Katheryn Denise Elliott, of 314 Annslee Circle, Loganville, was charged with failure to appear.
  • Douglas Howard Jr. Land, of 281 Fox Run, Loganville, was charged with criminal trespass and obstruction of law enforcement officer.
  • Ayvon Leon Lyons, of 100 Leighs Grove Way, Grayson, was charged with theft by receiving.

July 10

  • Maurice Anthony Jr. Carter, of 2231 Fall Creek Landing, Loganville, was held for court.
  • Christopher Robert Bates, of 3608 Bob White Lane, Loganville, was charged with entering an auto theft by taking.
  • Ridor Demarko Gresham, of 1830 Woodland Run Trail, Loganville, was charged with suspended/revoked license and following too closely.
  • Jacee Mae Pickles, of 1360 Compton Woods Drive, Loganville, was charged with criminal trespass, battery.
