FBI and Snellville PD Seeking Help in Identifying Armed Serial Robber

The suspect is responsible for four robberies in five weeks, including one at the Suntrust Bank inside a Snellville Publix

Snellville Police Chief Roy Whitehead, along with FBI Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Mark F. Giuliano and Dekalb County Interim Police Chief Lisa A. Gassner, are asking for the public's help in identifying and apprehending the suspect responsible for four armed bank robberies that occurred within the last five weeks in Lithonia and Snellville.

At 11:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, a single black male entered a branch of Suntrust Bank located inside the Publix at 1905 Scenic Highway and announced he was robbing the bank. He displayed a weapon and obtained an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI. He fled the scene at a high speed in an off-white Lincoln sedan with tinted windows.

The suspect robbed three banks prior to this. On October 26, he allegedly robbed a Best Bank inside of a Kroger (6678 Covington Highway) in Lithonia. He announced the robbery in the same way, then made off with a bag of cash.

At some point, he dropped the bag, allowing authorities to recover it.

On Nov. 14, another Best Bank, this one in the Lithonia Walmart, was robbed in the same manner. Then, on Nov. 24, the Best Bank in the Lithonia Kroger was robbed again, by the same person.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid-20s in age, medium build, medium height, wearing a blue ball cap with white logo, and a blue hoodie-style jacket.

Anyone with information regarding this individual should contact the Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-8477, the Dekalb County Police Department Robbery Unit at (770) 724-7890, or the Snellville Police Department at (770) 985-3555.

This appeared initially on Snellville Patch.
