Facebook Memorial Set Up for GHS Student Killed in Wreck

Friends of a Grayson High School student, reportedly killed in a head-on collision Saturday, have set up a Memorial Facebook page to honor the student.

A Facebook memorial page has been set up for Hope McKenzie, one of the students reportedly killed in a collision in Lawrenceville Saturday night. Patch guest editor Gail Moore said friends of McKenzie's from GHS said McKenzie and Austin Rogers, a passenger in the car, were the reported fatalities. A third passenger, McKennan Lockridge, is hospitalized with a broken leg.

Gwinnett County Police alternative information officer Jeffery Richter said the happened late Saturday night at the intersection of Webb Ginn House Road and Grayson Highway. He said he couldn't confirm the names of the victims, but did confirm that two people were killed.

"Two fatalities and five patients that required medical attention is the information that I was given," Richter said.

Gwinnett Police officials said the accident is under investigation.
