DUI Suspect: 'Six Beers in 2 Hours, I Know That's Over Limit'

Another look inside incident reports released by Gwinnett County Police.

The signs were there when Gwinnett Police made a traffic stop in the Loganville area recently:

Strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech; and bloodshot, watery, glazed eyes.

There was no denying what the driver had been doing, so he didn't.

According to the incident report, police suspected DUI after stopping a Buick LeSabre with an expired tag on Feb. 8 at Oak Grove and Hope Hollow roads.

The man said he had six, 16-ounce beers at a bar; he hadn't intended on drinking that much.

According to the report, the man told police, "I've had about six beers in two hours and I watch enough 'Cops' and know my science to know that's over the limit."

It was. The driver blew a .147 and .158 on a state-administered breath test at the Gwinnett County jail.

Bryson Rudd of Loganville was charged with DUI and cited for the expired tag.
