I was one of the many cars stuck on 78 & 81 today at the light while the emergency teams worked on helping the hurt people in the SUV. While normally I turn away at the sight of a accident like this, I literally was stuck there and was confronted with watching the teams work. I have so much respect for gwinnett state patrol and the entire emergency teams, they worked as a team treating the injured with such care. At one point there literally were emergencies workers treating them through every opening of the SUV,there must have been 6 workers in the hatch back and through the doors...You would think with so many working it would of been unorganized,it was far from that...was amazing to see them do what they do for US...and I for one, thank them!

You're right Emily - the public safety workers are top notch. I will have an update to this as soon as the Georgia State Patrol confirm the names of the injured for me. The truck driver was from Wisconsin and the driver of the SUV was a 40-year old woman from Lithonia.
