But Trix Are for Kids: Suspected Shoplifter Steals Cereal, Beer at Walmart

She allegedly stuffed $300 worth of items into Walmart reusable bags, which also were not purchased.

A woman is suspected of stealing more than $300 worth of items at the Loganville Walmart earlier this week.

According to the Loganville Police report, the loss prevention officer of the 4221 Atlanta Highway store alerted authorities of the 31-year-old Monroe woman fleeing in a Ford Explorer around 3:18 p.m. Monday (Dec. 2). Officers were able to catch up with the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop.

The Walmart employee told police that she saw the suspect in the baby department placing clothes into the store's reusable blue shopping bags. She then went through the men's department where she concealed more items. Her last stop was the women's section, until she finally walked past the registers and toward the exit.

There, the loss prevention officer stopped the suspect, who dropped the merchandise and fled on foot toward the car.

Among the items in the reusable bags, which also were not purchased, were various clothing, cough medicine, gift sets, Heineken beer, Trix cereal, Fruit Loops, and DKNY and Curve perfumes and colognes. The amount of stolen goods totals to $306.
