Body Found at Lake Lanier Could Be Missing Boater

George "Marty" Counts of Tucker disappeared Feb. 11 while fishing at the lake.

Police in Forsyth County pulled a body from Lake Lanier on Sunday morning, possibly that of a fisherman from Tucker missing since last month, WSB-TV is reporting.

George "Marty" Counts, 47, disappeared Feb. 11 while fishing at the lake, and search crews have been trying to find him ever since. Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies had discovered his 15-foot boat stranded on a bank and out of gasoline.

The body is being examined by the local coroner's office in order to make a positive identification, and Patch will have an update once an announcement is made.
