Arrests Made in Walton County Armed Robbery

Two men from North Carolina are in jail charged in an armed robbery last week that resulted in the shooting of a Walton County man.

has made arrests following that resulted in one man being sent to the hospital.

According to a press release, Adam J. Hacker and Scottie D. Propst, both of North Carolina, have been arrested and are currently in jail. Propst is in Catawba County jail in North Carolina and Hacker is in the Walton County Detention Center. He is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm during a felony by a convicted felon.

WCSO deputies responded to a Virginia Way address in Walton County at about 10 p.m. Oct. 20. It was reported that on arrival deputies found that a 44-year-old white male had been shot. He was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and is currently listed in stable condition. In the initial report, it was noted that the victim was shot by another one of the victims and that the suspects were both black males. According to WCSO, this is not the case - one of the suspects is a white male. They are not releasing any more details at this time, including the identity of the person who was shot, as this is an ongoing investigation.
