Accident on Highway 20 in Loganville Monday Injured 3

The driver of one of the three vehicles involved was charged with following too closely.

An accident on Highway 20 in Loganville Monday resulted in injuries to three people.

"It was around 3:50 p.m. on GA 20, north of Center Hill Church Road," said Gordy Wright, public information officer for the Georgia State Patrol. "A 2001 Chevrolet truck was northbound on Ga 20 behind a 2011 Toyota Scion. The Scion driver began slowing and the truck hit the corner of the Scion. The truck then traveled across the centerline and struck a southbound 2009 Toyota Corolla."

Wright said the driver of the Toyota Corolla, Purvi Desai, 29, of Bethlehem and a 2-year-old passenger, Aman Desai, went to by private vehicle. The driver of the Toyota scion, Scott Daniel Pierce, 54, of Snellville, was transported to WRMC by ambulance. The driver of the Chevrolet Truck, Jesse Allen Davis, 24, of Loganville, was not injured and was charged with following too closely.
