18-Wheeler Causes Traffic Build Up On Walker Bennett and Center Hill Church Road

An 18-Wheeler lost its car Hauling trailer as it turned out of Walker Bennett Road onto Center Hill Church Road in Walton County Tuesday, partially blocking the road while authorities attempted to clear it.

At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Walton County's 911 Center confirmed that Center Hill Church Road was open again after an 18-wheeler hauling a car trailer blocked the road for about an hour at Walker Bennett Road.

A witness said the 18-wheeler was coming out of Walker Bennett Road at about 2:30 or 3 p.m. when the trailer got stuck on the raise in the road at the intersection while attempting to turn onto Center Hill Church Road. The 18-wheel tractor was left in Center Hill Church Road, blocking one east bound lane.


A Walton County Sheriff's Office spokesman confirmed that the wreck was being worked by Sheriff's Deputies in an effort to get the road completely opened back up to traffic.
