Ronald Reagan Parkway not salted or graveled because of Sat. Road Race.

Are we in the 1850's here? How much lost commerce did we have to local businesses because they didn't want to have to brush off some gravel for a Saturday Road Race? Local News reports this is the case. So for 3 days they shut it down! So workers had to take side road (still icey) or drive to SugarLoaf Parkway to get to Pleasant Hill Road and the Interstate. Seems like we have some heads in the wrong place.
