No Snow, Again — Will We See Any This Year?

This weekend was the third time in 2013 that there have been calls for a "possibility," of snow, but except for a very little in some areas north of Atlanta earlier this year, none has materialized.

Snow has been scarce in the local area this year, to say the least. Definitely not enough to get any of those beautiful snow scenery photographs we all rush out to get. For the third time this year, there were some "slight" predictions for a chance this morning, but that didn't pan out either. Is 2013 doomed to be yet another snow-free year? If the Old Farmer's Almanac is anything to go by, it is starting to look like that will be the case.

According to the long range forecast in the Old Farmer's Almanac for February, Feb. 1 - 7 was the best chance of snow and we now know that didn't happen. There is another possibility Feb 21 - 28, but after that, nothing.

Do you think we will see any snow this year or are those chances getting slimmer by the day? Is the only chance we'll get to see snow in 2013 if we go back on our Facebook Timeline to photos from years past?

Sharon, I would like to say no that we will see no snow but, considering that I am no North Georgia Weather, all I can say is that I will not be comfortable, weatherwise, until the last day of March is over.

I recently moved here from Massachusetts and have seen enough snow for a lifetime. The happiest day of my life was when I "put my snow blower up for adoption". Both myself and my snow blower are quite happy in our new homes!

I'm certainly not looking for another snowmaggedon, but just a dusting once a year would make me happy. I feel like something is missing when we hit spring with no snow at all! That picture I took in downtown Monroe in 2010, and once a decade of a snow like that is fine for me, but a dusting, pleeez!!

Guy Sharpe used to say.....We are not out of the woods as far as snow is concerned until the end of April.... I have seen it snow the last week of April

The weather pattern is the same as Feb93 and long time Lilburn residents should remember what happened the first week of March

I just recently moved here to Lawrenceville from Florida. I've gotten so excited to see the snow icon on the weather app on my phone....but then I was disappointed to see no snow. I was really hoping to see something this morning even if it were just a few flurries. Hoping to see something soon!

There are plenty of pics on the weather channel pf snow. Channel 362 on direct TV. ha ha! I love to see the snow. I love it to come one day or two and then leave!!! We moved here in 1994. That was the year after the "Blizzard everyone talks about. We watched a lot of the "Blizzard" on the weather channel. I asked my wife, "are you really sure you want to move there?"
