Did the RNC Help You Make Up Your Mind, Either Way?

Only 11 percent of voters are reportedly undecided. Are you still one of them?

Beaumontenterprises.com reports that a recent CNN poll has only 11 percent of voters undecided on which way they are going to vote in November. For all intents and purposes, the rest are pretty evenly split between reelecting the Obama/Biden ticket or giving the Romney/Ryan ticket a chance.

The Republican National Committee in Tampa, Fla., wrapped up yesterday with everyone getting a closer look at presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan. They were also given the opportunity to listen to several other speakers who support the Republican ticket.

Next week in Charlotte, N.C., the whole process will be repeated -- just with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden making their cases for re-election.

Our question, well questions really, today are: Were you undecided going in and if so, did the RNC help you make up your mind either way? Or, are you waiting to hear what comes out of the Democratic National Convention before you decide?

Mitt doesn't have the savvy to mix it up with extreme people. He would be a cream puff of a President. He just someones bitch.

Maybe the most un-intelligent comment ever posted to this website, congratulations. Should Obama be elected again then you and the others who cast a vote for him will get what you deserve, continued economic misery for this country.

@ Concerned Citizen President Obama 's commitment to American woman and their families: 1.Equal Pay for Equal Work...signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act 2.Improved Women's health...Starting in 2012,new health insurance plans will be required to cover women's preventative services such as mammograms, domestic violence screenings and contraception without charge 3.Protecting women's right to choose Job Creation: 1.Saved the auto industry from collapse preventing the loss of more than 1.4 million jobs 2.An economic recovery program supported as many as 3.6 million jobs by cutting taxes, investing in clean energy, roads, and bridges, keeping teachers in classrooms, and protecting unemployment benefits. 3. The private sector has created 3 million jobs during 21 straight months of private sector growth. He has been held by form doing more by a do nothing Republican congress. For example they could pass" The American Jobs Act which would put more people back to work. Ending the war in Iraq and honoring our veterans by enacting new tax credits to encourage businesses to hire unemployed and disabled veterans. Refocusing on Al-Qaeda and bringing Osama Bin Laden to justice. Trying to create an economy built to last. Focus on education, wall street reforms etc. The biggest item was the Affordable Health Care Act 1.Keeping premiums low 2.Ending insurance company abuse 3.Expanding access to care 4.Closing the Medicare prescription Drug "Donut Hole"

I really don't think it's fair to say Obama is a bad President. But I do believe he's more qualify than Romney/Ryan but together let's don't forget who first put the American people in this position Yes, you know who! and it wasn't Obama Let's give him a break he's doing the best to get the American people out of all this debt that the republican party put us in. Obama is the one to get us out when he end up taking office again so get ready for the ride because it's going to be a good one those who doubt will be surprise GO OBAMA I see you all in 2016 when the economy is back on track and the Democrats take over the senate and house and that job you had when Busk was in office and you lost it with OBAMA in office you might get it back before the end of Obama second term LOOK LUCK Doubter

OK, so I'm guessing those who have commented so far were not in the 11 percent undecided. It would appear to me they were definitely in those who supported the current president already. Are there any people who were honestly in the 11 percent who made up their mind - for or against either candidate - based on the RNC?
Larry Reid August 31, 2012 at 07:14 PM
WOW!
Larry Reid August 31, 2012 at 07:18 PM
I did! I am absolutely, most definitely certain NOW that I won't be voting for His Majesty. I've decided to fire Obama and hire Romney.
Sharon Swanepoel August 31, 2012 at 07:37 PM
Were you undecided before Larry?
George Wilson August 31, 2012 at 07:59 PM
@Presi How quickly people forget...well said!
Larry Reid August 31, 2012 at 08:07 PM
"Well Said? George, even if it was remotely accurate (which we both know it ain't) it certainly wasn't "well said". I had to read it seven times to figure where the periods should have been. D- at best and I'm just being nice.
Concerned Citizen August 31, 2012 at 08:31 PM
George, I don't have time to go through all of this...if you think Obama is doing a good job then vote for him. You clearly are not open to hearing any criticism. Republicans spoke out against Bush for the prescription drug debacle and for his own spending issues since he doubled the size of government. Obama has had a terrible four years. Equal pay for women, only they can't find jobs. Saved the auto industry by using our tax money and giving the unions a gift while screwing others out of what was owed to them. Not one single net job created since the day he took office, period...you cannot dipute that fact. My premiums have risen and 70% of Americans oppose healthcare. But you can't be swayed and I'm not trying. If you are happy with the current debt levels, unemployment, and a government takeover of healthcare then vote for Obama and live with the results.
Larry Reid August 31, 2012 at 08:47 PM
OH! I'm sorry. I misunderstood your question. I thought you were asking if anyone was undecided before Larry. As if I may had influenced some folks to do what we all know needs to be done. Sorry for the confusion.
Sharon Swanepoel August 31, 2012 at 09:01 PM
No, I just wondered whether it was something you were undecided about. Based on much of the commenting here - especially before - it looks to me like 11 percent undecided is probably high. Pretty much everybody commenting on here anyway seems pretty decided from what I can see. Is there anybody yet undecided?
Angie September 01, 2012 at 02:01 AM
Seriously George, you spew the truth, that never works just ask Paul Ryan.
Karen September 01, 2012 at 03:11 AM
I wasn't in the 11%, but Romney wasn't my early pick for nomination. I watched a good bit of the convention and feel good about the ticket. We need some R and R for sure!
judy September 01, 2012 at 03:38 PM
Are you better off after 4 years? If Obama stays pres. can he still blame 8 years of disaster on Bush? If anyone is still undecided at this point they have got to be complete idiots. Deciding what cereal to have in the morning must be an all day event for them! Yes, Obama has FORCED many goodies on Americans! I work hard and don't want government pablum as MY reward. This election can't come soon enough !
Just plain fair September 01, 2012 at 08:11 PM
If you like being told what you can do with your body then you go ahead and vote for them, if you like Wars then vote for them, if you like being told you can't take birth control then vote for them, if you like for the rich to get richer while the poor get poorer then vote for them. I thank the choice is easy O/B, oh yeah and don't forget health care for all not just a few. Thank You.
judy September 01, 2012 at 09:05 PM
I'm confused... You are saying you can't go to ANY drugstore and purchase birthcontrol? Who told you that you can't buy it with you OWN money? Its not your Right to tell me how to spend MY money. You liberal "gate keepers of freedom" are big on spending everyone elses cash. Keep buying the baloney about the rich getting richer.... Keep on chanting. Im not rich and I'm tired of all the people depending on a handout from those of us who work. The old healthcare was not perfect by any means BUT healthcare is NOT a right. We are an amazing country and should take care of our people BUT like the cash for clunkers, waste of money green initiatives and all the other Obama handouts that FAILED we have been Obama vampired to death. Where do you think Obama gets all the money for that stuff? Magic ? He takes our money and keeps printing more money do you even get that? People like you will continue to vote for anybody that smiles, promises u rainbows and pats you on the head. Stop whining and being so helpless.
David September 01, 2012 at 09:10 PM
If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you're not a RACIST, then vote against him in 2012 to prove you're not an IDIOT.
David Brown September 01, 2012 at 09:36 PM
David, you borrowed that quote from a bumper sticker I saw last week. I don't care for either that bumper sticker or your comment. Either way, Sharon was right earlier when she sagaciously noted that most of our minds are already made up about this election. Because of that, this page has turned into a puerile group of comments.

And again , I must say how entertaining it is to follow the "it's all (blank)'s fault" debate. Want to know who's fault it really is?.... the uninformed and complacent citzenry of America. All of us citizens for the past half century who didn't exercise their civic duty properly by voting for/against a representative who did/did not represent their "best interests". It is the fault of all those before us who just assumed the legeslators were there to look after us. Well guess what, that complacent attitude left us with lawmakers doing whatever best lined their pockets and retirement plans. By wearing blinders and not researching what was happening on Capitol Hill,( the White House is just a figurehead on term limits), and listening only to a "paid for " media has gotten us where we are today. If you really are a concerned citizen who wants to change our lives for the better, get informed and vote in the local and state elections for your representatives every two years! If we all did this, in 4 years the entire House of Representatives, and by 6 years the entire Senate can be replaced! We can vote out all the professional(no term limit) politicians, and get in folks who will work together, make the hard decisions, and know that they have your best interests at heart instead of some special interest group. There you go folks- what the real problem is. and how you can be a part of an effective solution in one paragraph. seats as well
Chris September 02, 2012 at 03:42 AM
And... what about all those people who love Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and Debbie Wasserman Big Mouth and so on and so on? What if we can't convince them to do what we want to do?

The Convention showed me that Romney and Ryan will say anything to try to get elected. They have no credibility and cannot be believed. Look at the lies that they told in their speeches that even Fox News reported on: Romney’s Lies: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/fact-checking-mitt-romneys-acceptance-speech-at-the-gop-convention/2012/08/31/70c3d8de-f31f-11e1-adc6-87dfa8eff430_blog.html http://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-romneys-deficit-vow-lacks-specifics-004029587--politics.html http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-08-31/mitt-romney-fact-check-republican-convention/57467252/1 http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2012/aug/30/convention-tampa-story-mitt-romney/ http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20120831/OPINION01/308310017/-1/SPORTS13/Another-View-We-re-seeing-campaign-able-just-ignore-facts Ryan’s Lies: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/post/paul-ryan-fails----the-truth/2012/08/29/bbfe1eac-f254-11e1-b74c-84ed55e0300b_blog.html?tid=pm_pop http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_CVN_GOP_CONVENTION_FACT_CHECK?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2012-08-30-07-31-10 http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/robert-schlesinger/2012/08/29/paul-ryan-repeats-auto-bailout-medicare-lies http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/30/paul-ryans-speech-in-three-words/ http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/29/paul-ryan/paul-ryan-said-president-obama-funneled-716-billio/

I'm shocked to see this from someone registered with Patch on the Left coast. What a joke! Hey Jo, would you care to show your honesty and list some known lies from Obama while you're doing research?
