Loganville Mourns the Loss of a Beloved Pediatrician

Dr. Melva S. Lameda, founder of Loganville Pediatrics, passed away this weekend.

Although full details are not yet available, have confirmed the passing of their founder, Dr. Melva Lameda, this past weekend. Since the word got out, condolenses have poured in with several people posting on the Loganville-Grayson Facebook page.

"I am so sorry to hear that. My heart and prayers go out to her family, colleagues and patients. I know she was incredibly respected throughout our community and our Loganville family has suffered a very sad loss." Loganville City Councilwoman Michelle Lynch,

According to the Loganville Pediatrics website, Dr. Lameda founded Loganville Pediatrics in 1997. She was a Walton County resident and could be found in her spare time tending to her rose garden. Obituary and memorial service information will be posted as soon as it is available.
