John Braxton Ward, 49, of Loganville

John Braxton Ward, 49, of Loganville, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, due to complications from a long illness.

He was born in Greenville, SC, on Oct. 11, 1964, to William and the late Dorothy Ward.  John was a graduate of Western High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, and spent his childhood years in Las Vegas. After moving to Georgia, John was employed with Gwinnett County School District until 2010. John loved fishing, was a classic car enthusiast, and was a wonderful cook, often cooking for family and friends.

John was a beloved son, brother and is survived by his father, William; sisters, Tara Sheehan and husband Byron, Risa Cox and husband Joel, Sherree Wren and husband Lee; nieces and nephew, Taryn, Joshua and Shana all residents of Georgia.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel. Condolences may be viewed or sent towww.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M.
