On this Mothers' Day, 2011....I am writing a note to 2 little souls for whom I am forever grateful they picked me to be their Mommy.
Thank you, Daniel Edward. You gave me the awesome title of Mommy on May 30, 2001. You remind me every day what it means to be unconditional and fearless in Love. You are an amazing example of Pure Spirit and Light. What some people see as "challenges" in your life, you make into Blessings. You don't have the social filters the rest of the world is burdened by, and so your real Wisdom reaches out & touches everyone you meet in that you teach what it truly means to appreciate every present moment, and treat each moment AS a Present.....a Gift. You are a Gift to the world, and I cannot express to you enough how truly overwhelmed with gratitude I am that you chose someone like me to be your Mommy.....your caretaker. Thank you.
Thank you, Andrew Vincent. You embellished my Mommy title with your incredible little self on July 20, 2003. To put it quite simply......every single day I say at least once to myself - "how did I get so lucky to have someone like him as my son." Your incredible smile, generous heart, and strength of character rivals anything I have ever seen from anyone aside from your brother. You are a fantastic friend to others, a truly loving & empathic son, an incredibly smart student, and the very BEST brother to Daniel - you amaze me every day how you help him. You don't have to be asked.....you don't have to be guided.....you have always KNOWN what he needs even more than I do sometimes. Most of all, you have to be one of the most UNIQUE people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you.
I don't know if I can ever express properly to anyone anywhere what it means to me to be the Mother of these 2 boys. It is an Experience. A thrilling, emotional, spiritual journey I am lucky enough to be a part of every day of my life.....every day IS Mothers' Day. How grateful I am. How so very, very grateful.
