Zombie Apocalypse Coming to Loganville

Get ready for two nights of brain-eating horror at Loganville High School during Halloween weekend.

It's the sixth year of the Loganville Fright Trail, and while they've had creepy clowns and other scary bogeymen haunt the woods in the past, this year will be a bit different.

For Halloween 2013, the Loganville Police Department School Resource and DARE officers have teamed for this year's theme, "Walkers in the Woods: Zombie Apocalypse."

The event will run for two nights on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, at the high school located at 100 Trident Trail, according to School Resource Office Lt. Joseph Cantrell.

On each night, attendees will be given the following scenario:

The city of Loganville has been overrun by a zombie pandemic. Around dusk, locals will arrive at the parking lot of Loganville High School to arrange the evacuation out of the city.

The scene will be controlled by Marines and local police. Locals then will line up for check in and decontamination. Mayor Dan Curry will be there to accept every person's $5 "evacuation tax" so that he or she may enter the evacuation trail.

The trail is the only safe escape out of the city. However, it is not without dangers of encountering walkers.
