Letter to the Editor

Praise for leaders of the Fourth of July parade committee.

It has been an honor to be part of the 4th of July parade committee and to have the opportunity to help create something so spectacular for our town to enjoy. I have heard nothing but good things about the parade from the citizens of Loganville. They all seemed to really enjoy every part of the parade. I am very passionate about this town, the people in it, and the people I have grown to love on the parade committee. I am very thankful for the members of the city council that have supported us the whole way through this journey. It has truly been an honor to work with everyone on the parade committee, the volunteers, the sponsors and the council members that I had the pleasure of making connections with.

Although it was a combined effort, we could not have pulled this off without Jerry and Nancy Golden. They kept us motivated, inspired and excited throughout this whole process. If you are able to spend just 5 minutes around Jerry you will feel the energy, passion and excitement that pours out of his heart. And Nancy is right there with him. She puts so much of her heart and soul into everything she does. They are two of the most passionate people I know. And I just want to give a heartfelt Thank You to both Nancy and Jerry Golden for everything they have done to make this all possible. I love you both and I would stand behind you through anything.

Thank you for publishing my letter that I was trying to read at the city council meeting on Thursday evening but our Mayor would not allow me to read it. There were several people there that wanted to know what it said and now they have the opportunity to read it.
