On December 1, 2012, the Paperback Bookstore located on 268 Main Street,  will welcome two best-selling authors. One of which, is a resident of Loganville. V.F. Porzio, better known by friends and family as "Vinny." Mr. Porzio debuted his first book, "Sandro: The Forsaken World" during the spring of this year. It is a clever tale of the artist Sandro Botticelli and Ernesto, the orphaned boy he rescues. Their story begins in the basement of the famous Paris library Bibliotheque de Paris and then moves to Florence during the Renaissance, when great masters wielded their art in astonishing ways.

Mr. Porzio calls it, "a tale of friendship, of fathers and sons, and of love and betrayal." Reviews of Porzio's work have been encouraging with quite a few calling his first book, "captivating." Porzio's book landed #2 on the Amazon Italian Literature best-seller list.

Porzio will be joined by best-selling and award-winning author, Marian L. Thomas. Better known to avid readers as a pioneer of  three clean fiction titles, "Color Me Jazzmyne", "My Father's Colors," and  her latest release, "Strings of Color."  Each of her books reached the #1 position on Amazon's Rhythm and Blues and Soul best-sellers list. "My Father's Colors" received the 2011 USA Best Book Finalist Award.

When asked about the message behind her books, Thomas stated, " I write for women. All women. “Each of us, are made up of many colors. In our crayon box of life, you will find attitudes, reflections, journeys, pains, loves and even disappointments. These all color us in such a way that it defines what we are made of. We can either allow the people in our life to color us or we can determine our own colors. As a woman, we have to choose to make our colors beautiful!"

Thomas has been featured in print newspapers, such as the Southern Star—a Chicago Sun Times paper, the Atlanta Skirt Magazine and CrossRoadNews, just to name a few. She has also been a guest on national radio stations and her books have been nominated for literary awards.

Both Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Porzio will be available to read from their books during the book signing at Paperback between 4 pm- 6pm.

The book signing is open to the public and residents of Loganville are invited to come out and meet the authors.
