Run Your Girl Scout Cookies Off for a Good Cause

Support the Girl Scouts of Atlanta at a 5K Run or 1-Mile Fun Run on Oct. 27 at Tribble Mill Park.

What do you do if all those Girl Scout cookies you ate piled on the pounds? Run it off, of course - and Grayson Girl Scouts want to help you do just that.

The Grayson Unit of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta will have the first annual Run Your Cookies Off 5K or 1-Mile Fun Run on Oct. 27 at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville. Registration is at $8:30 a.m. Your Entry of $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile will get a T-shirt and there will be prizes for the racers. Girl Scouts members pay $20.

"Due to the downfall in the economy, the Girl Scout donations have been down," said Tavia Robbins. "The proceeds will be going to Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. To make the run a success, we need businesses to donate money or items and runners/walkers to race."
