by GCPD after he was reported missing. His family was alerted when he didn't turn up for work on Aug. 23. There were concerns about medical issues that he had and Buford's two children and their mother, Grace Buford, spent days actively searching the route he might have taken to work. They were worried that he could have had an accident on the way to work and the car not be visible from the road. GCPD issued an alert when there appeared to be no sign of Buford or the car he was driving.
According to Grace Buford, Florida park rangers located Buford on Sept. 9, almost three weeks after he first disappeared.
