Matter Really Does Matter - Scientists Announce Major Discovery

Scientists in Geneva claim to have identified the "God particle," a key in physics that defines why matter has mass.

 

Fox News is reporting that scientists have claimed the discovery of what laymen refer to as the “God particle.” The announcement was reportedly made in Geneva to a standing ovation from members the scientific community. This discovery is reported to help explain what gives all matter in the universe size and shape.

“We have now found the missing cornerstone of particle physics,” Rolf Heuner, director of the European Center for Nuclear Research reportedly told fellow scientists.

Although he stopped short of calling it the Higgs boson, Heuner likened it to the theoretical Higgs boson, which is considered key to the understanding of why matter has mass. Read more about the announcement here.
