Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow - Christmas in Loganville

Crowds turned out Friday for the annual Tree Lighting in Loganville.

No matter what the temperature, there is always snow in Loganville the day after Thanksgiving. This year was no different. With Santa and his sleigh, elves, gingerbread men, the Grinch and the traditional snowmen and snow, Loganville officially welcomed the 2012 Christmas Season Friday with the 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

A large crowd turned out for the popular event as children lined up to sit on Santa's knee and let him know their Christmas wishes. Loganville American Legion Post 233 members and Legion Riders took excited children for a ride in the Forty Et Eighth train and cookies and hot chocolate were served as everyone waited their turn. Something new this year, members of the Youth Advocacy Board offered Who Hairstyles for anyone of any age who wanted to participate. Photographs were taken with Santa to capture the memories and children held out their hands and raised their faces to feel the cool, wet snow - dispensed by the snow machine. Christmas music filled the streets around City Hall as Loganville's residents got into the spirit of the season.
