Want to Know if Anyone Won the More than $550 Million Powerball Jackpot?

The answer is, Yes! In fact two winning tickets were sold - one in Missouri and one in Arizona

If you bought a Powerball ticket for the more $550 million jackpot on Nov. 28 in Missouri or Arizona, you should might want to check your ticket.

Winning tickets were purchased by two separate people: one in Missouri and one in Arizona, according to the Powerball website.

The Powerball winning numbers for the Nov. 28 drawing are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.

While only two people will divide the jackpot, a total of 8,924,125 people won Powerball prizes on Nov. 28, the website notes. 

ABC News reported lottery officials expected to sell more than 105,000 tickets every minute before the drawing. Despite the long odds for the big jackpot, the overall odds of winning a prize are considerably better at 1 in 55.

In an article on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, one St. Louis-area man is quoted as saying, “I’ve lost a lot of money on it. I could just throw it down the toilet, but I can dream just like the rest of them.”

The estimaed jackpot for the next drawing sits at $40 million, with an estimated cashout value of $26.2 million.
