Christmas Tree Lightings in the Local Area Begin this Holiday Weekend

Gwinnett County, the City of Loganville and the City of Grayson will have Christmas Tree lightings, beginning on Thanksgiving night.

Beginning on Thanksgiving night, Gwinnett County and the cities of Loganville and Grayson will usher in the official 2012 Holiday Season with Christmas Tree lightings.

Gwinnett County – Nov. 22 at 5 p.m.

Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation and the Lawrenceville Tourism and Trade Association will host the 25th Annual Lighting of the Tree on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 at 5:00pm at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, located at 185 Crogan Street in downtown Lawrenceville. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:00pm, with the lighting of 30,000 lights on the 30-foot Norway spruce. The evening's festivities also will include visits and photos with Santa Claus, Class Act Band leading carols, choreographed dance routines by Clogging Connection, music by Catherine Kimbro, face painting, and crafts. If you didn't get enough turkey and stuffing, food vendors will offer sweet treats and warm beverages.

City of Loganville – Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.

Loganville Mayor Ray Nunley will light Loganville's traditional Christmas Tree at 6:00pm  on Friday, Nov. 23, on the front lawn of City Hall. Officials invite the community to join them for complimentary photos with Santa, hot drinks, cookies, train rides and WhoHair!

City of Grayson – Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.

Join Grayson Mayor Jim Hinkle as the city hosts the annual Grayson Christmas Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the Grayson Community Park. Grayson High School Chorus and the Trip Elementary Chorus will be singing and Santa and Mrs. Clause will be in the Senior Center for photos by Magic Moments Photography.
