Drag Racer Crashes Into Home on Christmas Morning - Fort Stewart Patch

A Hinesville man is facing charges after allegedly crashing his car into the living room of a house on Christmas morning.

According to WTOC, 30-year-old Garvari Dixon-Lewis was drag racing a second man -- identified as Howard Craig -- on Lakeview Road, when he lost control of his car on a curve and plowed into a house.

Former Georgia Tech Football Recruit Arrested for Purse Theft - Midtown Patch

While the Georgia Tech football team is in El Paso, Texas preparing for Monday’s 79th annual Hyundai Sun Bowl, a former Yellow Jacket prize recruit was in Fulton County Jail after being arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing a woman’s purse at a Buckhead nightclub over the weekend.

Denzel McCoy was charged with theft after reportedly stealing the purse on Saturday from Dive Bar and then making charges with the victim’s credit cards.

Taxi Driver Ordered to Take off Pants During Robbery - Norcross Patch

A taxi driver told police he was ordered to take off his pants during an armed robbery in the city of Norcross this month.

According to the Norcross Police report, the driver said he picked up a man from Stone Mountain Inn and Suites in Tucker around 6:30 a.m. one Tuesday in December. He drove the passenger to a set of residential units on the 2200 block of Mitchell Road, where he stated the cost of the fare.

The passenger exited the taxi and walked into one of the units, but after five minutes, he didn't return, so the driver knocked on the door.

East Cobb Murder Suspect Arrested – East Cobb Patch

John Kristofak, wanted for the murder of his ex-wife at her East Cobb home, was arrested early Thursday morning.

The Cobb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force took him into custody, according to the Cobb Police Department, which issued a statement at 8:30 this morning. 

Kristofak, 58, is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Driver charged in Deaths of Cartersville Infant, Two Women – Cartersville Patch

A Calhoun man has been charged in the fatal accident that claimed the lives of an infant and two women, all from Cartersville, on Christmas Day

The investigating Georgia State Patrol trooper took out warrants and Brent Leighton Lynch of Calhoun, was charged and jailed in the Gordon County Detention Center Wednesday night.
