In an event organized to help the local downtown business community in Monroe, Buckles Hardware was chosen as the first Walton County "victim" of a Cash Mob.

Monroe Downtown Development coordinator Emily Russell led a Cash Mob of willing participants to Walton County's first event Cash Mob event on May 26, 2012. Buckles Hardware at 113 N Broad Street in Monroe was the first willing "victim" of the mob of shoppers.
