Construction to Begin on Beverage SuperStore in Grayson

As Loganville begins the process of bringing a retail beverage store to the city, construction is set to begin on the one in Grayson

As begins the process of bringing a package store to the city, is a whole year ahead in the process and expects to have Beverage SuperStore of Grayson open in the fall. the successful aplicant for the one license issued in Grayson, said land has been cleared and construction will soon begin.

“The first phase of demolition and land clearing was a great success,” Tucker said in a press release. “We are on track to begin construction and are expected to have the store open mid October 2012. Feedback from the community has been very positive. Our potential customers are excited to see that Beverage SuperStore is coming to Grayson. Our reputation for 16 years in Suwanee is unsurpassed. We offer great customer service, selection and great prices, and will no doubt offer the same to customers in this area. It is our reputation and it is what we do.”

Beverage SuperStore spokesman Suzanne Adams said they are excited to be southeastern Gwinnett’s only retail package store.

“Opening fall 2012, our store will have the latest in wines (including boutique wines,) beers, craft brews and spirits,” Adams said in the release. “With over 14,000 square feet of space, we will offer the largest selection and lowest prices in the Atlanta region.”

In the meantime, city council meeting that the process has begun in the city for what would be another retail beverage store just next door to Grayson. A force of about 50 is expected to mobilize over the summer encouraging people to sign a petition to put it on the ballot in November. They plan to get about 2,600 signatures to guarantee the number they need. That is, however, about 1,000 more than the number of people who have ever voted in the city.

“We want to give people the choice to vote on whether or not they want it,” said Jamie Dempsey who is leading the charge for . “That way the citizens can make the choice themselves.”
