Save the Date: Traveling Memorial Art Exhibit at Tim Stewart Funeral Home
"The Eyes of Freedom," which depicts the fallen Marines from Lima Company, will be in Loganville from Sept. 27-29.
The Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Loganville is hosting a traveling memorial art exhibit called "The Eyes of Freedom" later this month.
The exhibition consists of paintings depicting the fallen Marines from Lima Company in Iraq in 2005. The work is created by an Ohio artist who "awoke in the middle of the night with a vision" two months after the tragedy, according to The Lima Company Memorial website. "With the help of the families of the fallen and the returned Marines of L3/25, the work was created and unveiled in the Ohio State House Rotunda in 2008, as the vision foretold."
"The Eyes of Freedom" will be held Friday (Sept. 27) from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday (Sept. 28) and Sunday (Sept. 29) from noon-6 p.m. Tim Stewart Funeral Home is located at 670 Tom Brewer Rd. in Loganville. For more details, visit www.eyesoffreedom.org or call the funeral home at 770-466-1544.
