Loganville's 'Voice' Jordan Rager Joins Justin Moore Tour

The country singer will hit the road Friday

Loganville's country singer Jordan Rager has been added to the lineup of performers for Justin Moore's upcoming Off the Beaten Path tour.

This is Moore's first headlining tour, and he is joined by artists Randy Houser and Josh Thompson, according to a news release. The tour kicks off in Springfield, Mo., this Friday (Nov. 1) and continues with nearly 60 stops over the next six months.

It’s been nearly two years since Rager was introduced to the country on season two of NBC’s "The Voice" when Blake Shelton made Jordan part of his team.  Though Rager did not make it out of the battle rounds on the show, Shelton described Rager as a sure-fire country star in the making.

Justin Moore seems to agree since he's invited Jordan to be a part of his tour. In addition to this, Moore will be a part of Rager's newly formed management team.

Since his brief stint on television, Rager has been working hard performing at venues around the Southeast, writing music and making inroads into the Nashville scene when possible. In 2012 he released an independently produced CD entitled "Burning Gasoline," featuring 12 original songs. He has opened for artists like Craig Campbell, Love & Theft, Kip Moore, Gretchen Wilson and David Allen Coe.

“I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am," he said about the upcoming tour. "For an artist like Justin Moore to show that kind of belief in me and my music is so amazing.  To have the chance and be a part of a tour like this, with Justin, Randy Houser and Josh Thompson--three artists who I look up to and admire--it’s just as exciting as being a part of "The Voice," maybe even more. And here I get to do my own songs and perform them on a big tour around the country. People have been asking me on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, ‘When are you coming to Kentucky, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, etc.?’ Well, now I can say, ‘Here I come.’ I’m so grateful, and humbled, and ecstatic. I can’t wait!”

From the tour schedule, no Georgia concerts are listed, but there are stops in Alabama, North Carolina, Florida and Mississippi.

The initial plan is for Rager to perform five or six songs between Randy Houser’s and Justin Moore’s sets. Plans also include the release of an EP soon, hopefully by the end of the year. Stay tuned for further announcements as things continue to develop in Rager's career.
