'Hollywood Hillbillies' Featuring Grayson Family Premieres on TV

Known as the Angry Ginger, local resident Michael Kittrell and his family star in the ReelzChannel show about them moving to Hollywood.

After filming last year, "Hollywood Hillbillies" premieres Tuesday (Jan. 21) on television.

The ReelzChannel reality TV show features a Grayson family who moves from "rural" Georgia to Hollywood, according to the Huffington Post.

It stars Grayson residents Michael Kittrell, a Grayson High graduate who has made a name for himself as the Angry Ginger through his YouTube videos; his grandmother Delores Hughes, or Mema; and their family. In September, TV crews and the family were filming at the Hughes' home in Grayson.

For the series premiere, two episodes will air at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The first episode is "Headed for Hollywood." Reelz posted the following description of the episode on its website:

"YouTube sensation Michael Kittrell lands a Manager in Hollywood so his entire family is packing their bags and headed out west. However Michael's Mema is not so excited about what LA holds in store for the family and she's not afraid to give Hollywood a piece of her mind."

"Michael's First Audition" is the second episode:
Michael's manager lands him an audition for a ginger ale company, but his Mema won't let him go alone. After realizing you can't count on public transportation in LA, DeeDee and Johnny spend the day trying to find the perfect car for the family.
The episodes will air again at 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.; midnight and 12:30 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22); and over the weekend. For the full schedule, click here.
