Grayson High Grad Launches Zombie Game App

Brandon Brawley, a senior at Georgia State University, created "Zombie Extreme" with the help of Kickstarter.

A Grayson High graduate launched a game app this week in the Apple store.

In "Zombie Extreme," created by Georgia State University senior Brandon Brawley, users take the role of Jack the zombie as they help him make a break for freedom in an endless run. Players run into terrifying werewolves, mummies, bats and trolls, and they have to run as far as they can and collect as many brains as possible.

"Creating 'Zombie Extreme' has been an awesome experience," said Brawley, a public policy major.

He opened the game under a company he founded called Infinite Empire, but he didn't get to where he is now without some struggles first. At the age of 11, Brawley survived a near fatal brain tumor. Following his miraculous recovery, he developed a strong entrepreneurial outlook that continued from his teenage years at Shiloh Middle and Grayson High School till today, eventually leading to
Zombie Extreme joining an elite list of mobile apps that have been successfully funded on Kickstarter

"We donated 10 percent of the KickStarter funding straight to the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children Charity, an organization that is very close to me for obvious reasons," he said. "On top of this, we plan to make further donations in the future using the profits generated by this hugely engaging social zombie game."

There are already plans to expand upon Zombie Extreme’s launch success, with deep social integration being used to develop competitive gameplay. Although not live yet, Brawley envisages users becoming even more engaged once an element of competition is added to the app.

"Games will be played in a series of challenges," said Brawley. "Users don’t have to have friends online in order to compete. Players can leave each other’s scores to beat the next time the other is online. Needless to say, this functionality we can’t wait to push live!"

"Zombie Extreme" is available now in the Apple App store for free.
