As announced during the city council meeting Monday (Sept. 16), Hollywood will be invading Grayson to film a new reality show Thursday (Sept. 19).

According to City Administrator Laura Paul-Cone, a film crew will be shooting "Hollywood Hillbillies," a television show following a local family who moves from "rural" Georgia to Hollywood, according to the Huffington Post.

It stars Grayson residents Michael Kittrell, famously known online as the Angry Ginger; his grandmother Delores Hughes, or Mema; and their family.

On Thursday, crews are expected to film at the Hughes home off Grayson Parkway, but if it rains, shooting will be held in the city pavilion, said Paul-Cone. Vehicles for the show will park at Grayson United Methodist Church and shooting should not affect traffic.

Kittrell, a Grayson High graduate, has been posting self-shot videos on his YouTube channel, CopperCab, for three years now. (Warning: His videos contain profanity and other content that may be inappropriate to some audiences.)

While his videos show him doing anything from rapping to "twerking," the clip he is most famous for is "Gingers Have Souls," which gave him the nickname the Angry Ginger. In it, he rants about an episode of "South Park" that jokes about how redheads are soulless.

Kittrell's protest video went viral and currently stands at more than 34 million hits. The Comedy Central show created a parody of Kittrell's video, and another CC show "Tosh.0" also did a Web redemption featuring Kittrell and his grandmother.

"Hollywood Hillbillies" will debut in January on ReelzChannel, and a preview can be seen above.
