In partnership with Snellville Patch, Operation Appreciation is hosting a 'Remembering Hannah' 1-Mile Fun Run, walk-a-thon, and family fun activities in remembrance of Hannah Rinehart, a three time cancer survivor who lost the battle with a bacterial infection after enduring the amputation of both her arms and legs and spending 60+ days in the ICU at Northside Hospital.
The Remembering Hannah event will begin with a 1-Mile Fun Run at 1:30 p.m., and will be followed by a walk-a-thon from 2 – 5 p.m. For those not running or walking, there will be music and other activities, including carnival games, face painting, a bean bag toss tournament (cornhole), and other family friendly events. There will also be a silent auction of donated items from corporate sponsors and we will be accepting donations at the door.
The goal is to help raise at least $20,000. The more donations received, the more successful we will be in assisting Mark in this time of need.
If you want to be involved, make sure to register on Active.com by Nov. 1. The cost ranges between $10 and $35 per person.
For questions, please email OA.RememberingHannah@gmail.com or Crystal.Huskey@patch.com. Let us know if you would like to volunteer or sponsor the event in any way.
