Tim Hunter Benefit at Hail Mary in Grayson Exceeds Expectations

- Exceeded our 10k Goal.  This benefit raised OVER $16k.

What started out being a gloomy day ended up being perfect.  We want to thank Blake Hawkins - of Hail Mary's Pub because without our initial conversation, his expertise, knowledge and support throughout this drive we would had not been as successful THANK YOU!. Having the full support of pub partners, Roger, Mark, Rob and Doug....THANK YOU !  Your friendly staff is always there to serve and chat along with us. The place was over run with customers... Much appreciation, THANK YOU!

THANK YOU! SYSCO and EAGLE rock for providing the all the food, beer and McDonalds breakfast for the volunteers. It was awesome! And plenty of it.

THANKS! To all SILENT AUCTION contributors. With well over 100 auction items. I believe we sold everything.  We had quite an array of merchandise from community business, restaurants, friends, family's and schools. GRAYSON HIGH SCHOOL staff contributed 10 or more large auction, baskets duffle bags of items...THANK YOU!

The CORNHOLE Tournament was a SUCCESS. With 30 teams - 4 lanes - double elimination monitored by Rob R.  To my Team mate Larry "COMA" Crowely, we won 2 lost 2... thats because my balance was off just a bit. I blame that on my previous ankle injuries.... Next time we tape them up.  CONGRATULATION to the first, second, third and forth place winners.  THANKS to ALL participant.

THANK YOU! all our Volunteers- fence crew - Joey, Larry, Tim, Todd, Mike P, Mike R, Steve, Ben and others. Auction assistants and registration table. Lisa, Trish, Laurie, Nikki, Christine, Jana... Hope I didn't forget anybody.

THANK YOU Hunter Family!  Bill Hunter, John and Karen Bloxum and Gail Begley for making the trip and support you have given us.. We appreciate all the support you have provided to us.

THANK YOU! To my wife Lisa and Tracy's husband Daryle for putting up with Tracy and I siting behind our computers the many hours, texting one another and phone calling through odd hours in the morning and evening for the past 6 weeks.   This was a challenge - we persevered  with great success.  "We are all your now".... But - I have much bigger plans for next year.

Today is a beautiful blue sunny day here in Lawrenceville GA.  What makes this day great is that, I can say that we are very pleased with the outcome. Tim Hunter would be proud - you are my ambition and you are here today.

This all being said - I hope I didn't leave anyone out. Blake, Tracey and I were up for the benefit especially after finding out that Tim Hunter friends  in New Jersey had a benefit 2 weeks ago which raised $10K.. I had the idea that we would reach that goal 2 weeks ago.  We not only reached it but we over exceeded.  This benefit raised OVER $16k. and anticipating to possibly reaching $18k with additional auction item sales this week.

We are very pleased with this outcome - didn't think it was going to this high. We appreciate everyone's support for the Joanne Hunter and children, Sydney, Jack, Jane and Sam.
