Loganville and Grayson Kroger Stores Participate in 2013 Project Overcoat Campaign

From Jan. 5 - 19, 2013, Kroger customers can drop off new or gently used coats at local stores for the 2013 campaign.

Kroger’s Atlanta Division is teaming up with WAGA FOX 5, FedEx, United Way, Kiss 104.1FM, and the Atlanta Mission for the 2013 Project Overcoat campaign this winter. From Jan. 5-19, Kroger customers and associates are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats to any Kroger location throughout metro Atlanta.

“Temperatures are dropping quickly, and our coldest months are still ahead,” said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “We hope that with the help of our customers and associates, we can give coats and blankets to those in need and keep Atlanta warm this winter.”

To participate in this year’s campaign, Kroger shoppers can place their donations in the Project Overcoat bins located at the front of each metro Atlanta Kroger store. According to a press release, all donations raised through the 2013 Project Overcoat campaign will be distributed to the United Way and Atlanta Mission. Project Overcoat has been in operation for 22 years, working to provide jackets and blankets to thousands of men, women and children. To donate, please visit www.kroger.com.
