Frost Advisory Friday for Walton, Gwinnett

Portions of north and western Georgia could see temperatures dip into the low 30s tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

A frost advisoryΒ is set for portions of northern and eastern Georgia, including Walton and Gwinnett counties, early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Effective from 2 to 9 a.m. Friday, it warns temperatures could dip into the mid 30s and frost can be expected overnight. This is expected in portions of eastern and central Georgia and includes Gwinnett and Walton counties.

A frost advisory means that frost is expected. Freezing temperatures and frost can be expected overnight. Sensitive outdoor plants my be killed if left uncovered.

Cool, dry high pressure will continue to build into the area overnight and into Friday. This will result in clear skies and light winds. Temperatures overnight will drop into the mid 30s across north and central Georgia and into the low 30s in the northern and western portions of the state.
